We visited twice this week. Once just my wife and I, the second time with family for a celebration. As always, both occasions were perfect. Wonderful food, great wine and very attentive, friendly staff. Can't wait to visit again. Thank you all.

I was a guest of a 12 person dinner party here last night. I want to highlight the fact that the service was really, really impressive. Almost invisible in the sense that the staff were so well-trained that you finished eating one course & you hardly noticed that your plate was being removed, or that you were being asked so seamlessly if you wanted more wine or water. They got all the angles correct - we didn’t have to move or adjust in the slightest - so we just went on talking & laughing & hence the service was not INTRUSIVE. In any way. The meal & the occasion took centre stage -as it should! Good service is an art form very rarely encountered these days owing to staff churn & the pandemic. But staff ant Bacchus are apparently longstanding, very well-trained in observation & table management & it showed. It was refreshing & and an absolute pleasure!

Smart black and white decor, very professional hosts, a la carte. I spent the evening with my family. We all opted for the 23 two course menu. I ordered the crab spring roll with mango salsa. Spring roll pastry was very delicate and freshly cooked to order. For main course I ate pork. The meat was nicely cooked but a bit dry. (I should have ordered more gravy and vegetables). For an additional cost, we all ordered desserts. I had the lemon creme brulee which came with (unnecessary to me) meringue on top. A simple creme brulee would have gone down better. Crepes suzettes were a meal in their own right!

Went here for first time recently with friends. Saturday lunch. We had a mix of table d’hote and a la carte menu but nothing was too much trouble and any personal tastes willingly accommodated. It was fairly quiet at the time we were there so we were lucky to have more than one waiter serving but each gave us excellent, friendly attention. I love quality food and quality linen and was not disappointed. The food was superb and cooked to perfection. I particularly enjoyed the cod which was done in a tasty butter sauce and the ginger sponge with creme anglais in its own exquisite miniature sauce boat was one of the lightest I have ever had. Can’t wait to go again.
